In December, the University of Wrocław, together with the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces and the Doctrine and Training Centre of the Polish Armed Forces, will organise a scientific seminar entitled Bezpieczeństwo narodowe w kontekście przemian społecznych i wyzwań urbanizacyjnych: interdyscyplinarna diagnoza i perspektywy.
By decision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the strategic importance of ACTRIS for science and public policy has been confirmed: from the high quality of the research conducted, through open access to data, to support for innovation in the fields of air quality and climate change adaptation. As a result, ACTRIS maintains its position on the Polish Research Infrastructure Map as a nationwide infrastructure for aerosol, cloud and trace gas research.

Dr inż. Piotr Kryczka from the Department of Socio-Economic Geography at the University of Wrocław was a guest on Herbatka z naukowcem on Radio Rodzina. The discussion focused on integrated planning – how to reconcile the visions of urban planners with residents’ needs and the challenges of sustainable development.
Until 28 October, another edition of the international Escapetruck project will be running in Poland. The vehicle has visited several cities across the country, including Płock, Słupsk, Kołobrzeg, and Zielona Góra. This is a unique educational initiative aimed at raising public awareness of human trafficking in Poland.
Prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, the rector of the University of Wrocław, and project leader from the Educational Research Institute, Michał Nowakowski, have inaugurated a collaboration as part of the project “Microcredentials – piloting a new solution to support lifelong learning” (Polish: „Mikropoświadczenia – pilotaż nowego rozwiązania wspierającego uczenie się przez całe życie”) funded by the European Union within the European Funds for Social Development programme 2021-2027.
