The Heisig Prize for a physicist from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań

We encourage you to read the exquisite lecture that was given by prof. Marek Krajewski titled: The academic experiences of a writer and differentia specifica of crime novel. A few autobiographical remarks. The writer gave the lecture as part of the 2025/2026 academic year inauguration at the University of Wrocław

On Friday, October 26, the ceremonious matriculation of students starting their academic journey at the University of Wrocław’s Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures took place in the Aula Leopoldina.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the University of Wrocław, the University Museum, together with representatives of the faculties and the University Archives, has prepared a unique poster exhibition.

During the inauguration of the academic year, which is soon to be held at the University of Wrocław, the Heisig Prize will be given to the winner — and it is already known who that is!

On September 23, the University of Wrocław welcomed the participants of the international academic conference organised as part of the “European cultural relations within the Weimar Triangle” project.

On Tuesday 16 September, the Lower Silesian Congress of Young Explorers will begin – a unique two-day event aimed at secondary school pupils with an interest in mathematics, computer science and artificial intelligence.

The University of Wrocław Museum invites you to an author’s meeting between Magda Podsiadły and the sculptor Bomavé Konaté, which will take place on Friday, 30 May 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Oratorium Marianum.

The exhibition „Wrocław na szlaku dziedzictwa akademickiego” (eng. “Wrocław on the trail of academic heritage” was officially opened at ul. Kuźnicza on 13 May at 1 p.m.

If you haven’t yet decided how to spend your May Day weekend, we warmly invite you to visit the University of Wrocław Botanical Garden and the Arboretum in Wojsławice.
The Botanical Garden is currently at its springtime best. Although the Tulip Festival was officially scheduled for April 26, the tulips are still in full bloom and will remain a spectacular sight until at least May 4.

In Catalonia, the celebration has taken place since 1926. It became a global observance 30 years ago. The patron of the day – April 23rd, the date of Cervantes’ death – has been the subject of two books written by Magdalena Barbaruk, Director of the Institute of Cultural Studies at the University of Wrocław. This year, students at the university organised the “Book Days 2025” event.
