Martyna Janaszek is a medical chemistry student at the University of Wrocław. But today, it’s not chemistry we’ll be talking about. Martyna is an athlete specialising in strength sports: bench press and powerlifting. She has been nominated for the “Young Talents” award in the category of sporting success.

The Academy of Young Scholars and Artists is recruiting new members. This year will mark 15 years since the establishment of this first-in-Poland platform for cooperation and intellectual exchange dedicated to outstanding young science students.

As every year, prior to the recruitment for the next academic year, individual faculties and institutes of the University of Wrocław organise Open Days.

From 22 April to 7 May 2025, eight students of Spatial Management from the Institute of Geography and Regional Development at the University of Wrocław are taking part in a study visit to Tsinghua University in Beijing – ranked the best university in China according to the Shanghai Ranking, and 22nd globally.

The next recruitment for the MOST programme starts on Tuesday, 15 April.

Staff from the Faculty of Social Communication and Media Studies invite students to take part in a lecture and workshop by mgr inż. Tomasz Turba titled “OSINT historia prawdziwa. OSINTowanie na żywo”.

On 27 March 2025 (Thursday), the Marketplace for Master’s and Doctoral Theses will be held at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, organised in cooperation with the European research infrastructure ELI ERIC, related to research on the use of extremely intense laser pulses.

As was the case last year, our student was among the winners of the Polish Mathematical Society’s competition for the best student paper on the theory of probability and applications of mathematics. The results of the LVIII edition of this competition were announced on 19 February. This time, among the winners was our graduate, Witold Płecha, whose master’s thesis entitled ‘Some Limit Theorems for Random Randomness. ‘Some Limit Theorems for Random Weighted n-partite Complete Graphs’, written under the supervision of dr Piotr Dyszewski (UWr Mathematical Institute), took second place.

The Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of Wrocław invites you to another open lecture in the series Secrets of the Earth and the Universe, which will be delivered by a licensed and experienced mountain guide and a graduate in geology from the University of Wrocław – mgr Adam Wojtyna.
