Centre for Technology Transfer (CTT) visited Łukasiewicz Research Network – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology

On the 23rd of October 2024, Maciej Kamiński, the head of Centre for Technology Transfer visited Łukasiewicz Research Network – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology. This meeting resulted from a collaboration contract signed between the University of Wrocław and the ITECH Institute of Innovation on the 23rd of September 2024.

During the meeting broad opportunities for collaboration were discussed, focusing on the optimization of commercialization processes of research results and management of intellectual property at the University of Wrocław.

The head of CTT, Maciej Kamiński, emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating: “The opportunities of collaboration that are opening up are wonderfully broad. The Institute’s offer is extensive and can be used by units operating commercialization processes, such as CTT, as well as research teams collecting data in specific research fields and the university authorities concerning management data for the development of the university’s patent strategy”.

The Łukasiewicz Research Network – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology was represented by prof. Leszek Kwieciński (ITECH dyrektor) and Adam Rosik, the main technology specialist. Prof. Leszek Kwieciński pointed out that “the main benefits should concentrate on the evaluation of potential and risk of IP related to commercialization of products and technologies, supporting in creating R&D(research and development) strategy, researches of innovation levels in specific technical areas, identification of potential partners and competitors, and monitoring the technical area in IP context”.

The collaboration between the University of Wrocław and the ITECH aims at strengthening the research and development potential of both institutions as well as contributing to more effective implementation of innovations in the market.

Specific targeted actions and their schedules will be established in future meetings.
