Chief National Geologist with a lecture at the UWr
As part of the MBA in Geology and Environmental Protection series, we hosted the Chief National Geologist, Minister prof. Krzysztof Galos, at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of Wrocław.
On 25 November 2024, the Chief National Geologist gave an inspiring lecture on current challenges and prospects in the resources industry. During the speech, the minister discussed, among other things, the importance of geology in the resource sector and the role of science in building the future of this key industry.
The opportunity to listen to such a substantive and engaging lecture certainly enriched the knowledge of the audience, but also opened new perspectives for cooperation between science and the economic sector.
Participants in the meeting were students of geology, geological engineering and environmental protection, as well as research and teaching staff of the Institute of Geological Sciences.
Questions from the audience focused on prospects related to the raw materials industry in Poland.
MBA in Geology and Environmental Protection is a subject introduced to the teaching offer of the Institute of Geological Sciences at the University of Wrocław. It is inspired by Masters of Business Administration studies, in which classes are taught by practitioners with experience in managing business entities and state institutions.
