Coaching and Life Design – we are launching postgraduate studies!

New postgraduate studies in Coaching and Life Design are delivered under the framework and in close collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on Lifelong Guidance and Counselling. This gives students access to the latest scientific knowledge and practical solutions in the field of supporting adult development, career design and life design.

In the context of the multiple, dynamic and permanent changes that mark contemporary reality, the role of professionals prepared to take action to support the lifelong development of adults in different contexts and life situations is increasing. The ability to support the restoration and maintenance of balance in life, between different spheres of activity, is becoming particularly important. The Coaching and Life Design degree programme prepares such professionals.

The degree programme lasts two semesters and includes 190 hours of classes and supervised sessions. The vast majority of classes are workshops led by experienced practitioners, coaches, therapists and personal development trainers. The studies enable the student to acquire knowledge in the field of:

  • basic assumptions of coaching principles and tools,
  • conducting professional coaching processes, using the latest knowledge in the social sciences,
  • basic assumptions of the Life Design concept,
  • development of adult identity,
  • concepts and principles of adult learning,
  • basics of positive psychology,
  • models and stages of career development,
  • causes, indicators and prevention of professional burnout.

Graduates will gain valuable and unique competences on the job market in conducting professional coaching sessions, using a Life Design approach; they will gain skills in using coaching and Life Design tools.

Details of the degree programme can be found on the UNESCO Chair website.
