Zarząd Spółki i Pracownicy Strońskiego Parku Aktywności Jaskinia Niedźwiedzia are appealing for help!
The University of Wrocław has been involved with the Bear Cave since its discovery. The cave itself was not damaged by the flood, but the whole infrastructure – the sewage system and the base in Stronie Śląskie – was destroyed. Our help and support can help kick-start tourism, it would be the best thing we could do at the moment. Near the cave, a major investment is underway, involving the scientific community from all over Poland, namely the construction of a new tourist route in the Mastodont Parties. We hope that the investment will continue. In view of the above, we are passing on a request for help to the Stroński Activity Park ‘Jaskinia Niedźwiedzia’
Stroński Park Aktywności ‘Jaskinia Niedźwiedzia’ Sp. z o.o. provides a wide range of tourism services. From hotel services, catering in the field of sport and recreation, to organising visits to our ‘pearl’ – Bear Cave in Kletno. The flood that hit Stronie Śląskie on 14-15.09.2024 has left our company non-functional and its further activities in doubt. We already know that the resulting losses are huge and without your support we will not be able to return to normality in the near future. That is why we are asking for your support to the account number below with the note ‘Powódź 2024’

We thank you in advance for your heart and understanding.

Friends from the Imago Association have initiated a collection to help flood victims from Stronie Śląskie and the surrounding area, which were affected by the flood. The scale of the devastation is enormous – many houses and farms have been flooded and residents have been deprived of basic necessities of life. What is urgently needed at the moment is:
- generators,
- fuel,
- shovels,
- working gloves,
- cleaning products,
- torches,
- wellingtons,
- rubber gloves,
- long-term food,
- hygiene products, chemicals, nappies, powdered milk,
- animal feeds
Currently, the most needed items are: flu medicines, painkillers, pampers for lying-in adults (various sizes, including XXXL), medical pads (various sizes), sore throat medicines for children and adults, antipyretics, bandages, gauze pads spirit, hydrogen peroxide, acetenisept, etc., nappies and wet wipes for children, disinfectant silver plasters.
The situation in Stronie is really difficult – local services and residents are struggling to cope with the enormous devastation, so any form of support is invaluable. If you would like to support the collection, you are welcome to visit the kindergarten in Krzeptów, ul. Tymiankowa 1, or the Association in Sadowice, ul. Kolejowa 1. Donations can also be delivered to the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication at ul. Joliot-Curie 15, room 214. All collected items will be collected and delivered to Stronie by bus.
Thank you in advance for any help and support you can give to those affected by this dramatic event!

The parents of our colleague Wojciech Basiński, an employee of Wrocław University’s Botanical Garden, residents of Żelazno near Kłodzko, lost their life’s possessions in the flood. The family has launched a collection. We are counting on the University community to help raise the needed amount!
