Conference and book premiere

All members of the team implementing the project ‘Humanitarian aid and the empowerment of Ukrainians coming to the V4 countries – good practices’ hosted a scientific conference and book premiere in Wrocław on the 12th of June 2024. The leader of the project is the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wrocław.

In the first part of the conference, the results of the project’s research were presented. Good humanitarian aid practices were also introduced and discussed.

In the second part of the conference, a roundtable debate was held. Participants in the debate included researchers and practitioners, both project participants and people – both researchers and professionals – working on issues of humanitarian aid and refugee empowerment.

The conference included the presentation of the book “Humanitarian Aid and Empowerment of Ukrainian Refugees. The Case of the Visegrad Group Countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia’, which will soon be published by Routledge and offered in open access.

The project ‘Humanitarian aid and the empowerment of Ukrainians coming to the V4 countries – good practices’ is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The fund’s mission is to promote the idea of sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

The project “Integrated Program for the Development of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund
