Delegation from Lower Austria to the University of Wrocław
On Tuesday, 13 May 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the Presidium of the Lower Austrian Landtag. The meeting with the authorities of the University of Wrocław, represented by dr Łukasz Prus, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, was attended by the Presidium of the Lower Austrian Landtag, headed by President Karl Wilfing.
Among the participants were also:
– dr Edward Wąsiewicz, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Austria in Wrocław,
– dr hab. Magdalena Ratajczak, prof. UWr and dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences,
– dr hab. Justyna Ziarkowska, prof. UWr and dean of the Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Literatures,
– dr hab. Paweł Klint, prof. UWr and dean of the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences,
– Anna Rypińska-Fischer, board member of the Polish-Austrian Society in Wrocław,
– Katarzyna Haras, board member of the Polish-Austrian Society in Wrocław,
– Prof. dr hab. Filip Wolański, board member of the Polish-Austrian Society in Wrocław and Director of the Historical Institute at the University of Wrocław,
– Rafał Wojtowicz and Monika Maziarz from the Department of Foreign Cooperation of the Marshal’s Office,
– Karolina Drewniak, German language interpreter.
This marked the first official visit to Wrocław by representatives of the Lower Austrian Landtag, made at the invitation of the Chair of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly.
In addition to substantive discussions, the visit to the University of Wrocław also included a tour of the Aula Leopoldina, the Oratorium Marianum, and the Mathematical Tower.
