Depression Awareness Days 2026 – workshops
The Centre for psychological consultation and guidance operating within the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wrocław warmly invites you to take part in the Depression Awareness Days, which will be held on 24–25 February. For formal and organisational reasons, participation in the workshops is limited to adults (18+).
As part of the event, researchers and students from the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wrocław have prepared four workshops (led by students), focusing on various aspects of depression and the factors that may influence its development and maintenance. Topics discussed during the workshops will include, among others, the relationship between depression and self-esteem, the impact of minority stress on mental health, the role of social media in shaping mood and self-image, and the challenges associated with the transition into adulthood.
The organisers aim to create a safe space for conversation, reflection, and psychoeducation. The workshops are educational and experiential in nature – they do not constitute a form of therapy, but may provide an opportunity for participants to gain a better understanding of themselves and of the mechanisms associated with depression. The event is open to anyone interested in mental health, particularly students and young adults. Let us remember that even a brief pause, a conversation, and expanding our knowledge about mental health can make a decisive difference – even saving the life of someone who struggles with this illness every day.
The event will take place at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Wrocław, located at ul. Jana Władysława Dawida 1. Registration is required via an online form.
