
Dr Aleksandra Hecel-Czaplicka became a lecturer of the year at Children’s University
The Children’s University Foundation has awarded researchers. Among the award winners was dr Aleksandra Hecel-Czaplicka, who received the title “Lecturer of the Year 2023/2024 of the Children’s University”, for creating an extraordinary space for experimentation during the workshop ‘Dlaczego słodka cola jest kwaśna dla chemika?’ (eng. Why is sweet cola sour for a chemist?). For her professionalism and kindness at every stage of the collaboration.
The laureates were selected based not only on the didactic, scientific and popularising value of their classes, but also on the opinions of the students of the Children’s University. The award winners are scientists affiliated with a number of academic centres, including the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, University of Wrocław, University of Physical Education in Wrocław, University of Opole, University of Life Sciences in Wrocław, Stanisław Staszic Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Kraków, Warsaw University of Technology and Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.
