
Dr Chwedczuk-Szulc a Mentor in the TopMinds Programme
Dr Karol Chwedczuk-Szulc from the Department of Foreign Policy and Global Threats at the Institute of Political Science has once again been selected as a mentor in the TopMinds programme.
TopMinds is a mentoring programme that opens the door to an international career for young Polish researchers. The current edition is aimed at final-year Master’s students planning an academic career, as well as individuals already preparing a doctoral dissertation at a Polish university (or another academic or research institution) who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement — people characterised by passion and ambition.

Dr Karol Chwedczuk-Szulc holds a PhD in political science and Master’s degrees in sociology and international relations. He is an assistant professor at the Institute of Political Science, University of Wrocław. His research focuses on comparative EU–USA studies, with particular emphasis on political crises and methods of resolving them. He was a Research Fellow at American University in Washington, DC, in 2015–2016 and again in 2019 (Fulbright–Schuman Programme). His academic interests also include historical sociology, social theory, and European and American integration.
