Dr hab. Maciej Cesarz as the new Vice-Rector for student affairs
We would like to inform you that dr hab. Maciej Cesarz has been elected as the new Vice-Rector for student affairs. Congratulations!
Dr hab. Maciej Cesarz – graduate of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław, Doctor of Laws, Post-doctoral degree of Political Science and Administration. Since 2005 employed at the Institute of Political Science and then at the Department of European Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wrocław. He has held the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Political Science for teaching, Deputy Director for teaching in the Department of European Studies at the WNS, coordinator of the Erasmus programme and also coordinator of the MA in European Studies.
He also has several years of experience working outside the academic sector (Department of External Control of the National Health Service). He has worked as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Malta and has lectured in Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey and Georgia. His research interests are in the area of freedom, security and justice in the EU, EU law, the internal market, border management and EU migration policy as well as EU-Turkish relations and issues of local self-government.
In his private life, he is a happy husband and father of a ballerina and a football player. He practises traditional fencing and calisthenics. He also loves animals, aquaristics and rock music.
