Erasmus+ for Ukraine! (27.7—20.9.2022)
As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, the Department of Applied Linguistics of the Institute of German Studies at the UWr invited researchers from Ukraine to stay at the Institute and the Department. Our invitation was accepted by prof. Alla Paslavska, prof. Khrystyna Dyakiv, dr Tetyana Laschenko, dr Olena Prysiazhniuk from Lviv National University, dr Iryna Gaman from the National Technical University “Kiev Ihor Sikorskyj Polytechnic Institute” and Prof. Svitlana Ivanenko from the M.P. Drahomans National Pedagogical University in Kiev! From 27 July to 20 September 2022, our guests will deliver lectures remotely as part of the “Erasmus+ for Ukraine” lecture series.
The scheduled lectures concern research in linguistics. Prof. Alla Paslavska will give a lecture on “Ukrainische Germanistik in den Kriegszeiten” (Ukrainian German studies in wartime). Dr Tetyana Laschenko will present a talk on “Metapher als Einzelphänomen und Übersetzungsproblem” (Metaphor as a phenomenon and a problem in translation), Prof. Khrystyna Dyakiv will discuss communication difficulties and realist aspects in a German-Ukrainian perspective (Kommunikative Missverständnisse und landeskundlicher Aspekt [Ukrainisch – Deutsch]), Dr Iryna Gaman will invite participants to zoological gardens and discuss guides to these places as a type of text (Zoologische Gärten als Spielfeld von Grenzauflösungen), Dr Olena Prysiazhniuk will present a speech on “Teaser als Sprechgattung: zwischen Information und Manipulation” (Teaser as a speech genre: between information and manipulation), Prof. Svitlana Ivanenko will give a lecture on “Interkulturelle Stilistik der deutschen und ukrainischen Sprache aus der funktionalen Sicht” (Intercultural stylistics of German and Ukrainian in a functional perspective).
The first lecture on 27 July 2022 from 14:30 to 16:00 will be given by Prof. Alla Paslavska from the Lviv National University (profile on the LNU website) – a link to the lecture on the Teams platform is available on the website of the UWr Institute of German Studies.
