European parliamentary elections 2024: Debate with politicians and conference
„Gra o wysoką stawkę: wybory do Parlamentu Europejskiego w czasach multikryzysu”(The high-stakes game. European parliamentary elections in times of multi-crisis).
In the wake of the upcoming European parliamentary election, we cordially invite you to an academic conference and a political debate to be organized on May 7 and 8, 2024, at the Faculty of Social Sciences (ul. Koszarowa 3) and the European Parliament Office in Wrocław. On the first day, the pre-election debate will be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences with politicians from all parliamentary groups. We will reveal the names of the politicians in the appropriate order during the event promotion. The debate is organized and moderated by the students of the University of Wrocław. Additionally, on May 8, BPE headquarters in Wrocław (ul. Widok 10) will host expert panels.
During the academic conference, Polish and foreign experts will discuss the significance of the European parliamentary elections from the Polish perspective, as well as the reforms of the European Union. Additionally, there will be a panel section dedicated to students and secondary school students. It will discuss the topic of youth participation in the European elections.
The event will have a hybrid format, which allows in-person and online participation. The pre-election debate will be simultaneously translated from Polish into English.
The conference is funded by the Jean Monnet Chair of the Faculty of Social Sciences, led by Prof. Aleksandra Maatsch, and the European Parliament Office in Wrocław. The European Studies Students’ Scientific Circle “Project Europe” and the Interdisciplinary European Activities Scientific Association are responsible for organizing the event.
The organizers will announce details shortly on the websites of the University of Wrocław, the Jean Monnet Chair, https://wns.uwr.edu.pl/wydzial/katedra-jeana-monneta/ and on the social media of the scientific circles.
