Ladies and Gentlemen,

we have already received the results of the parametric evaluation of disciplines evaluated at the University of Wrocław after the appeal process – a detailed summary of the categories obtained by us can be found above.

Please note that the appeals were not processed at the same time for all disciplines, hence their uneven appearance in the systems and in our mailbox.

As a result of the appeals, the discipline of mathematics was awarded category A+, while the disciplines of philosophy, physical sciences, cultural and religious sciences, social communication sciences and media were promoted from category B+ to A. Congratulations to the disciplines that effectively demonstrated the good and very good quality of their research.

A total of three disciplines were thus awarded an A+ category, eleven A and eleven B+. In all disciplines, the University has retained the right to educate and graduate at all levels, which is extremely important for its functioning. It should be recalled again that our disciplines do not compete with each other, but with those of other universities or research units.

Regardless of the categories awarded, the evaluation process has shown our strengths, but also our weaknesses. This should be used to work, where necessary, in disciplines and faculties to improve research or to report and publicise it better. Where, on the other hand, high, satisfactory categories have been achieved, everything must be done to maintain this high scientific standing. Both the entire administrative division reporting to the vice-rector for research and the University’s Evaluation Team are ready to assist all faculties and disciplines of our University in their preparations for the next parameterisation and, above all, in their day-to-day work on improving their research.

Congratulations again to the disciplines and warm thanks to the entire Evaluation Team and to the Rector’s Representative for evaluation,  Prof. dr. hab. Dariusz Buraczewski, for the tremendous work they have done for the University.

prof. dr hab. Artur Błażejewski
Vice-Rector for research
