As part of the pro-quality competition of the Vice-Rector for Teaching at the UWr, the Institute of German Studies at the UWr, in cooperation with the staff of the Department of Applied Linguistics, the Centre for Phonetics, the Centre for Centre for Media Linguistics and the Centre for Scandinavian Studies, will be implementing the project “Nowoczesna lingwistyka – Medialna Dydaktyka” (Modern Linguistics – Media Didactics) until December 2024. The project includes eight online lectures to be delivered by some of the world’s most renowned linguists. Invited guests – prominent linguists – will deliver guest lectures in which they will present contemporary theories and methods of linguistic research in different sub-disciplinary scopes. The lectures will take place online and be available in real time. Each lecturer will make their presentation available for dissemination and use in academic teaching.
The lectures are dedicated to students, doctoral students and academic staff.
The first lecture is scheduled for 27 February 2024 from 15:00 to 16:30.
It will be delivered by prof. dr dr Georg Schuppener of the University of Leipzig and the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava.
