The ‘How much of Humboldt or Clark is in the University of Wrocław?’ academic conference is a new format and space for discussion regarding the subject of a modern university. The University of Wrocław and Stowarzyszenie “Jesteśmy Uniwersytetem” (We Are The University Association) – the conference’s organisers – point out that, in an economically and socially changing world, it is worth talking not only about various scientific disciplines, but also about the place where science is exercised – the university itself. Today, it is the health of universities that determines their provision of quality research and quality education.
The main premise of the Conference is to be open to the viewpoints of the various groups that make up the University: students, doctoral students, academic and administrative staff, researchers from other academic centres and people from the socio-economic environment of the University of Wrocław. This year, the invitation to participate in the event was accepted by great practitioners involved in the management of science and higher education: prof. Marek Ratajczak (Poznań University of Economics and Business), Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education from 2012 to 2015, and prof. Krzysztof Leja (Gdansk University of Technology), member of the Scientific Policy Committee at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education from 2018 to 2020. We would like to cordially invite you to listen to the lectures of the invited guests and the panel discussions.
We invite you to take part in the conference, which will take place on 6 December 2022, at 9 AM in Room 2D at the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. Let’s talk about the University of our dreams!
