The UWr Historical Institute would like to cordially invite you to the next, already the ninth ‘Szewski czwartek’, an interdisciplinary online meeting on 23 May 2024 at 18.00 on the MS Teams platform.
This time the speaker will be an employee of the UWr Historical Institute, dr hab. Adam Pałuchowski, prof. UWr, with a lecture entitled ‘Specyficznie wysoka pozycja społeczna kobiet u wojowniczych Dorów, Germanów i Celtów w ujęciu socjobiologicznym’.
Professor Pałuchowski is a historian and classical philologist, his main interest is in the social, economic and institutional history of ancient Greece, in particular the Cretan polities and Sparta, from the declining phase of the Mycenaean era to the Early Imperial era; he is a graduate – under the cotutelle system – of the Doctoral School of Historical Sciences at the UWr and of the Ecole Doctorale Sciences de l’Homme et de la Société of the University François Rabelais in Tours.
