German Rectors visiting the University of Wrocław

Representatives of leading German universities associated with DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) began their visit in Poland with a meeting with authorities of the University of Wrocław.

DAAD is an association of German institutions of higher education, one of the biggest organization in the world supporting international academic exchange. Its main task is to support cooperation with foreign universities primarily by of the exchange of students and scientists.

Rectors of dozens of German institutions of higher education met on Monday with Rector of the University of Wrocław – prof. dr. hab. Robert Olkiewicz, Vice-Rector for projects and international relations – prof. Patrycja Matusz and with representatives of almost all faculties of UWr. Delegates had an opportunity to not only get acquainted with plans and execution of broadly defined internalization of our University, but also to visit the most representative interiors of the main building including the Mathematical Tower.

DAAD is an association of German institutions of higher education located in Bonn and in Berlin. Projects executed in different places in the world are coordinated by representatives in 15 offices, including Poland. Association is engaged in process of internalization of German universities, reforming education systems in developing countries, as well as supporting the development of German studies and promotion of the German outside the country. Thanks to such visits as this at the University of Wrocław, there is a chance to strengthen contacts between scientists, which certainly will result in joint projects and scientific exchange of employees and students.
