Graduation ceremony Erasmus Mundus Global Studies
On Saturday, a ceremony was held in the Aula Leopoldina to award diplomas to students participating in the Erasmus Mundus programme. The University of Wrocław (Institute of International and Security Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences) has been running this programme together with the University of Leipzig, the University of Vienna, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Roskilde University since 2005. This year’s competition for the best master’s thesis was won by Natalie Fink, whose thesis entitled ‘Resettlement, Identity and Transformation: an intersectional approach to the shifting gender roles of educated Syrian women in Berlin’ impressed the jury. Vice-Rector Prof. Patrycja Matusz revealed to us that Natalie has a great talent for field research, and her parents flew in from the United States for the graduation ceremony. We are keeping our fingers crossed for Natalie’s PhD! We warmly congratulate all graduates and invite you to view photos from the event.
