Health and safety at work and fire protection
The Occupational Health, Safety and Fire Protection Department controls the health and safety of working and learning conditions for all members of the UWr community. The tasks of the department include:
- controlling working conditions and fire protection
- determining the circumstances and causes of accidents at work and occupational diseases
- providing training for new employees, co-organising periodic training and keeping records of medical certificates entitling to work
- substantive assistance to managers of organisational departments about fire protection and occupational health and safety
- acceptance of newly built and renovated facilities
- work with the University Health and Safety Committee
- administrative service of the Rector’s Representative for Safety of Students and PhD students
