High school graduates, welcome to recruitment meetings

High school students from Wrocław and all over Poland! This year’s secondary school graduates and teachers! We would like to invite you to a recruitment meeting in the main building of the University of Wrocław! During the tour we will tell you some interesting historical facts about the baroque main building of the University of Wrocław – we will show you around the beautiful baroque Aula Leopoldina, Oratorium Marianum, the museum rooms of the Museum of the University of Wrocław, we will show you Wrocław from the viewing terrace of the Mathematical Tower.

However, the most important part of the meeting will be a presentation about the university’s recruitment offer, explaining the recruitment process. We will explain how the admissions committees convert the percentages of the matriculation exams into recruitment points, what subjects have to be passed in the matriculation exam in order to be admitted to specific fields of study, what the successive rounds of university admissions are, which fields of study are the most popular at the University of Wrocław, what the differences between full-time and part-time studies are, how to register with the IRK (Internet Candidate Registration System). We will tell you about the fields of study at our university, and we have about 150 of them in several scientific areas – natural sciences, law and social sciences, science and technology, humanities, philology. During the recruitment meeting, we will also explain to you what it means that the University of Wrocław is a Research University and what benefits it provides to the students of our university, what the Arqus European University Alliance is, what foreign and domestic student exchanges our university offers its students, how the UWr students can get involved in student activities (what scientific circles and student organisations the university offers) and much more.
