International concert in the Oratorium Marianum
We, along with the French music association from Lille, Music and Peace, would like to invite you to a concert by students, graduates and lecturers. The event will take place on October 29th, Wednesday, at 6 P.M. in Oratorium Marianum at Plac Uniwersytecki 1. Entry is free of charge.
The event’s programme includes popular, classical, and instrumental music, as well as pieces sung in accompaniment of a piano and an orchestra, since our guests are a 20-piece string ensemble. The programme will include, among others, French, Polish, and Ukrainian music. The concert promises to be colourful, full of musical charm and inviting to be listened to. It offers an opportunity to relive familiar melodies or to discover new ones. We invite everyone, together with families and friends.
Most of the association’s members are teachers of music. Generally speaking, Music and Peace has humanitarian goals: building peace and creating bonds between people through music. They are active in social, integrational, and educational fields. Aside from their visit to the University of Wrocław, their one-week stay in Wrocław will include performances at the “Muminki” therapeutic centre of the St. Albert’s Foundation and at Dobrzykowice’s primary school. What is more, they will conduct singing workshops in French at the University of Wrocław (registration is still possible at justyna.salamon@uwr.edu.pl).
The concert is made possible thanks to the support of the International Cooperation Office of the University of Wrocław; the ensemble’s stay in Wrocław is made possible thanks to the assistance of the City of Lille.
