International Staff Training Week
The 12th International Staff Training Week organised by the International Office began on 20 May.
The University of Wrocław was honoured to host staff, mainly representatives of the International Offices, of partner universities from countries such as Bulgaria (Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski), Croatia (University of Zagreb), Spain (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, University of Seville), Jordan (Applied Science Private University), Kosovo (Universiteti i Prishtinës: Ballina), Lithuania (Vilniaus kolegija / HEI), Norway (Volda University College), Portugal (University of Porto), Serbia (University of Kragujevac), Slovakia (Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice), Turkey (Harran University, Yeditepe University), Ukraine (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv) and Italy (Università degli Studi di Siena).
Throughout the week, guests had the chance to get to know both the University of Wrocław and Wrocław itself, thanks to a programme specially prepared by the International Office, which combined training and cultural elements. The programme included a basic Polish language course, intercultural workshops and discussions on the work of the International Offices. The programme also included a full-day excursion to the Wojsławice Arboretum, a guided tour of Wrocław and a visit to the Zajezdnia History Centre.
The programme prepared for the guests allowed us to share good practices related to working in the International Office and taught us how to deal with psychologically difficult situations.
We are convinced that the event will create new collaborations and contribute to the internationalisation of the University of Wrocław.
