Invitation to the Discussion Panel: “AI: Opportunities and Challenges for Civic and Political Engagement”

The Institute of Political Science at the University of Wrocław cordially invites all those interested in artificial intelligence and its potential in the field of civic and political engagement to participate in the discussion panel titled “AI: Opportunities and Challenges for Civic and Political Engagement”. The event will be held in a hybrid format (access online).

The panel discussion is organised as part of the COST Action RELINK² research network meeting, hosted by the Institute of Political Science at the University of Wrocław. On 2–3 April, the University of Wrocław will welcome over 60 researchers and invited experts from 29 countries. The meeting will address topics related to digital skills in democracy, the digitalisation of political organisations, and the use of artificial intelligence to enhance civic and political participation.

The University of Wrocław is implementing the COST grant for the period 2024–2028. The Chair of COST Action RELINK² is Prof. Michał Jacuński from the Institute of Political Science. The research network organises meetings, workshops, and conferences, provides grants for doctoral students and young researchers to attend conferences, and funds short-term scientific missions. The network also focuses on science dissemination and supports academic publications.

The network Regaining Linkage? Digital Technologies Improving Civic Engagement, Political Organisations, and Democracy (RELINK²) currently brings together approximately 200 researchers from 42 countries working in four research groups.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is an EU agency funding research and innovation networks, facilitating the development of scientific projects through international collaboration.
