Joint planting of tulips in the Botanical Garden
We publish a message from the UWr Botanical Garden:
With the approval and agreement of the Director General, we cordially invite you to the Botanical Garden on 18.11.2024 to plant tulips together.
In the Botanical Garden, the season is slowly coming to an end, but for us employees it is a period of increased work to prepare the garden for winter. This is the time for cleaning up the area after the season, reorganizing plant beds, but most importantly planting tulips and other bulbous plants.
We want to enter the new season with a bump in spring by organizing a “Tulip Festival.” The plantings of these plants will occupy a large area of the Garden and will create interesting in terms of color, forms, using the latest varieties of tulips imported from the Netherlands. A total of nearly 60,000 tulips will be planted, including about 100 varieties.
Last season’s “Tulip Festival” attracted a large number of fans of these plants. Next season we hope for an equally large turnout.
However, before we can enjoy the result, there is really a lot of work ahead of us in planting these plants.
We would like to invite willing employees of the Central Administration of the University of Wrocław to plant tulips together in the Botanical Garden. This could be a very interesting experience for both Central Administration staff and Botanical Garden staff.

Proposed date for joint planting action: 18.11.2024
We want to invite about 20 people from different departments at a time. From each department 2-3 people each so as not to disrupt the work of the department.

-Accounting Department
-Fixed Assets Department
-Costs Department
-Project Accounting Department and others as available
Program of the day:
– 8:00 assembly in the Garden, discussion of work, dressing up (outfit, dress shoes, possibly water, snack on your own. We provide tool gloves)
-10.00 – breakfast break – refreshments in the field – hot soup, tea, coffee
-11.00 – planting cont.
-14.30 – end of work
At the end of the work, a small gift in the form of a symbolic bag of tulips + a family voucher for entry to the Garden in the 2025 season
I would very much like to ask department heads to send me information if there are people (how many people) willing to come to the Garden on this day. Of course, the event is held within working hours.
