KARAN’s course on gambling addiction

The KARAN association (Catholic Anti-Narcotics Movement) would like to invite students to participate in free training courses on gambling addiction or other behavioral addictions.

Target group for the training course: students of psychology, pedagogy, resocialization, social work.

The project includes lectures and workshops and the course offers 27 hours of training for one group.

Framework program of the course:

  • prevention and therapy of behavioral addictions, including both problematic and pathological gambling,
  • behavioral addictions such as addiction to gambling, computer games, internet, sex, work, compulsive eating, shopping,
  • causes of behavioral addictions,
  • ability to diagnose behavioral addictions – symptoms characteristic for various phases of the development of the problem, methods of diagnosis,
  • treatment of behavioral addictions, early intervention, crisis intervention,
  • relapse prevention,
  • working with families with behavioral addiction problems,
  • methods of therapy for people with both behavioral and substance addictions problems,
  • good experience in the area of prevention and therapy of behavioral addictions,
  • behavioral addictions from a medical perspective.

Training course schedule:

I. TERM: 2 December 2023 (Saturday) 9 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.; 3 December 2023 (Sunday) 9 a.m – 7:30 p.m.; 4 December 2023 (Monday) 1 p.m.  – 7 p.m..

II. TERM: 9 December 2023 (Saturday) from 9 a.m – 7:30 p.m.; 10 December 2023 (Sunday) 9 a.m – 7:30 p.m.; 11 December 2023 (Monday) 1 p.m.  – 7 p.m.

The training course lasts 3 days.
