Lecture by prof. Francesca Fornari at the Institute of Polish Studies
We cordially invite you to a lecture by Prof. Francesca Fornari from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice entitled O krytyce genetycznej i rękopisach Zbigniewa Herberta – część II, organised as part of a short visit by visiting professors. The meeting will take place on 22 October 2025 at 2 p.m. in room 145 of the Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Wrocław (pl. Biskupa Nankiera 15b, 50-140 Wrocław).
After the lecture, there will be a meeting at the Centre for Textual Genetics and Digital Transcription, combined with a mini-workshop devoted to the specifics of working with notebooks. The event is organised by the Centre for Textual Genetics and Digital Transcription of the Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Wrocław.
Bio
Prof. Francesca Fornari is a lecturer at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and author of a monograph on Józef Czechowicz’s poetry, Architettura dell’immaginazione, as well as numerous articles on 20th-century Polish literature, published in Teksty Drugie, among others. She is a member of the academic council of the journal Konteksty. Polska Sztuka Ludowa (Polish Folk Art). She has translated poems by Józef Czechowicz, Julia Hartwig, Ryszard Krynicki (Il punto magnetico) and Zbigniew Herbert (L’epilogo della tempesta). She is involved in genetic criticism, and her new monograph Dzieło i rękopis. O brulionach Zbigniewa Herberta (Universitas) will be published soon.
