Local Government Women Leaders – conference at the Faculty of Social Sciences
Our female researchers will highlight the obstacles to women’s careers and promotions in the public sphere. When? This coming Friday, 13 March, during the “Local Government Women Leaders” (Liderki Samorządu) conference at the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Wrocław.
Dozens of female local government leaders from all corners of Lower Silesia will come to the University to share their experiences and knowledge about their work, how women are changing local government, and what challenges they face in the process.
“Queens of Third Places, Champions of the Background” – this is the title of one of the presentations prepared for the occasion by prof. dr hab. Anna Pacześniak and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, dr hab. Marzena Cichosz, prof. Uwr.
– We will pinpoint the systemic and individual barriers to women’s careers in the public sphere and offer several recommendations – says prof. dr hab. Pacześniak.
The plenary part of the conference is open to all interested parties.
The invitation is extended by the Faculty authorities and the Voivode of Lower Silesia, Anna Żabska, who is an alumna of the Uniersity of Wrocław.
