
Long Night of Museums at the UWr
Four of the museums belonging to the University of Wrocław are taking part in the Long Night of Museums, an event taking place on Saturday 20 May!
Museum of the University of Wrocław

This year, as part of the Long Night of Museums, the Museum of the University of Wrocław will open the Mathematical Tower with its viewing terrace. From the observation deck, it will be possible to view the city panorama in the evening. There will also be an opportunity to get to know the temporary exhibitions located on the first and second levels of the Tower. Entrance to the Tower every half hour: first at 6.00 pm, last at 11.30 pm. Groups of 50 people will be admitted.
Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is another of the UWr institutions participating in the event. We regret to inform you, however, that the ‘Vertebrate skeletal system’ room will not be available due to security reasons. The first visitors will be admitted from 5 pm, and the tour will end at 10 pm.
Admission is by reservation – 100 people every hour. In total, we plan to welcome around 500 people!
Geological Museum
Ul. Wojciecha Cybulskiego 30, Wrocław 50-205
During the Long Night of Museums 2023, it will be open from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. In addition, for younger visitors there will be a workshop on casting copies of fossils from gypsum at earlier hours – from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Every full hour. Registration is required for the workshops.
Mineralogical Museum
Ul. Kuźnicza 22, Wrocław 50-205
The exhibitions Minerals of the World and Minerals of Poland will be available. A mini-gallery of minerals, rocks, fossils and meteorites, a demonstration of cutting agates and other ornamental stones has also been organised in cooperation with the Polish Society of Friends of Earth Sciences.
The starting time for visiting the exhibitions is 12 p.m. and the closing time is 11 p.m., while the exchange and the agate cutting demonstration will take place from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
