Polish can be unpredictable… And that’s its charm!
“I cannot imagine the Lower Silesian Science Festival without a lecture by prof. Jan Miodek!” – on September 20th said prof. Kazimierz Orzechowski, a chemist of the University of Wrocław and, for many years, the environmental coordinator of the LSSF. That day, around 500 people gathered in the auditorium of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław and, as is tradition, prof. Jan Miodek gave the inaugural lecture, officially opening the 22nd edition of the Festival held under the slogan “On the trail of knowledge.” During his lecture, prof. Miodek drew the audience’s attention to the fact that the Polish language is not entirely predictable, and its rules are not always logical. And that’s precisely what the charm of our native language is all about!
