Meeting in the Hehring room

The Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Wrocław and the Society of Friends of the Wrocław Polish Studies invite you to a Meeting in the Hehring room with prof. Justyna Bajda on 15 December 2024.

Justyna Bajda, dr hab., prof. UWr, literature expert and art historian, works at the Department of the History of Positivist and Young Poland Literature (Institute of Polish Studies, University of Wrocław). He is involved in interdisciplinary research in the field of literature and art of European modernism, including the influence of French culture on literature, art and material culture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Collaborates with Polish and French scientific societies, including the European Centre for Slavic Studies (Centre Européen d’Études Slaves) and the University of Poitiers (Université de Poitiers). Author of several monographs:

Na przełomie wieków (2002); Młoda Polska (2003); Poezja a sztuki piękne. O świadomości estetycznej i wyobraźni plastycznej Kazimierza Przerwy-Tetmajera (2003); Poeci — to są słów malarze… Typy relacji między słowem a obrazem w książkach poetyckich okresu Młodej Polski (2010); antologii Poezja drugiej połowy XIX wieku (pozytywizm — Młoda Polska) (2007), entries in the lexicon of Polish literature. She has published nearly one hundred articles on the culture and aesthetics of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. She publishes in Polish and French.
