Minister’s Scholarships for our students!

We know the names of students who have been awarded scholarships by the Minister of Science and Higher Education (for academic year 2025/2026). The Minister granted 402 scholarships from 1171 applications for significant scientific, artistic, or sports achievements. Our best students received the scholarships, representing almost all scientific and artistic disciplines (48 out of 55).

Here is our golden seven:

Amelia Ciniawska (psychology)

Our student participated in numerous scientific projects, which allowed her to see how broad and intriguing is the scope of psychology. ”Although my scientific interests still are not completely defined, they are centred on mental well-being and its conditions,” Amelia says.

Gracjan Ciupa (law)

A fifth-year law student and a second-year graduate student in economics at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. His research focuses on the impact of new technologies on civil law, with particular emphasis on jurisdiction issues and applicable law in the context of artificial intelligence, as well as on tax proceedings.

Adam Górkiewicz (computer science)

Adam is interested in theoretical algorithmics – ”the part of computer science on the opposite side from AI and machine learning,” he says. ”I work on new algorithms, look for answers to open questions, and write articles for conferences.”

Tytus Grodzicki (computer science)

Tytus works on distributed algorithms, in particular population protocols. And what does he like outside of computer science? “Sitting in the forest under a rock,” Tytus laughs. “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my supervisors and co-authors, Leszek Gąsieniec and Grzegorz Stachowiak, as well as my loved ones.”

Paweł Piekielny (psychology, sport)

He has been playing chess since he was in kindergarten. ”This game has taught me a lot about life,” Paweł says. Moreover, he is interested in sport, especially the role of psychology in this area. ”I would like to use psychological knowledge not only for my own improvement in chess, but also to help in the future other sportsmen in their careers.”

Piotr Jędrusik (psychology)

”My biggest interest lies in broadly understood neurodiversity. I want to promote psychological knowledge in society and actively participate in the scientific development of psychology – these are my goals,” Piotr states.

Pola Melonowska (sociology)

She is interested in critical theory, sociology of work, historical sociology of classes, and their representation in culture. „My research concentrates on the empowerment of Polish workers through the celebration of the 1st of May in the 19th and 20th centuries.” Pola is a member of the Rosa Luxemburg Scientific Circle of Left-Wing Thought at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wrocław.

Congratulations! We are proud of you!
