Z przypisami. A new series of events organised by WUWr and WDL

Today, Wydawnictwo UWr, in collaboration with Wrocławski Dom Literatury, is launching a new series of events titled Z przypisami. Several times a year, discussions will take place at the PROZA club, focusing on selected new publications from the publisher, covering a wide range of topics within the broadly defined humanities.

This evening’s meeting will be dedicated to the new edition of Andrzej Kozieł’s book Angelus Silesius, Bernhard Rosa i Michael Willmann, czyli sztuka i mistyka na Śląsku w czasach baroku. The author will take us on a journey back to a time when Silesia was a spiritual and artistic centre of Europe. The conversation with the author will be hosted by Mariusz Urbanek.

Spór o Wyspy Kurylskie – open author event

And tomorrow, at 3:00 PM, the Student Scientific Assosiation of International and European Law, along with the Eastern Circle of International Relations, invites you to an event centred around the WUWr publication Spór o Wyspy Kurylskie w perspektywie prawa międzynarodowego publicznego i stosunków międzynarodowych. Studium krytyczne.

The Japanese-Russian dispute over the Kuril Islands is not only a matter of treaties—it also exemplifies how international law can serve as a tool to legitimise the imperial ambitions of great powers. From a critical perspective, the author demonstrates that the law is not a neutral regulator but rather a reflection of historical and cultural inequalities rooted in domination and violence.

The event with dr hab. Rafał Czachór, prof. UJW—an expert in political systems and public international law—will be held at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics on Tuesday, 15 April at 3:00 PM, in room 2.04, building D.

To mark the occasion, the book can be purchased at a 30% discount directly from the WUWr website using the code spotkaniewpaiehttps://wuwr.eu/produkt/spor-o-wyspy-kurylskie/
