Notice: WUWr Warehouse Relocation

Taking advantage of the summer break, the University of Wrocław Press is undertaking a range of activities aimed at improving its operations. A lot is happening — including the relocation to a new headquarters, which is now gaining momentum. It is expected that, in the near future, the warehouse and sales department will be moved to ul. Joliot-Curie 12, where the administrative part of the Press is already based. As a result, there may be temporary difficulties in processing orders from the online bookshop and delays in deliveries.

New Journal Issues on the Platform

In the meantime, you can enjoy open access to the latest issues of our journals on the Czasopisma Naukowe w Sieci platform.

We especially recommend the new issue of Kwartalnik Historyczny „Sobótka”, now with refreshed graphic design. Among the many fascinating reads, you’ll learn why tree-lined avenues were planted along roads in Silesia — when and on whose orders; what 15th-century wills looked like and what the final wishes were of Małgorzata Reytnitz of Żary, who lived 500 years ago. These and many other articles await your attention. Read it here: Sobótka

A new issue of Studia nad Autorytaryzmem i Totalitaryzmem has also been published. The authors explore, among other topics, the role of monuments and the controversies surrounding them during the transition from authoritarian or totalitarian regimes to democratic systems. Another issue raised is the adequacy of the term “hate speech” within Polish legal regulations — should it be redefined? The journal is available to read online.
