Natalia Pudełko-Malik with a prestigious Kosciuszko Foundation Grant

Natalia Pudełko-Malik, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Department of Physiology and Molecular Neurobiology, University of Wrocław (supervisor: dr Dominika Drulis-Fajdasz) and the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Chemistry (supervisor: prof. dr hab. Piotr Młynarz) has been awarded a prestigious Kosciuszko Foundation Grant and will serve a five-month internship at the University of Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. The main objective of the research grant is to determine the metabolic interplay between neurons and astrocytes, using isotopically labelled metabolites such as [U-¹³C₆]glucose and [U-¹³C₃]lactate.
