National Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference of Silesian Researchers – invitation to participate

The Interdisciplinary Research Association, operating at the College for Interdisciplinary Individual Studies at the University of Wrocław, cordially invites you to participate in the National Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference of Silesian Researchers. The event will take place on 25 April 2025 and is part of the Association’s tenth anniversary celebrations.

The conference aims to present the current state of research on Silesia and to show the diversity of research approaches concerning this region. Silesia has for centuries been a place of intensive cultural exchange between Poles, Czechs and Germans, therefore we invite researchers, academics, doctoral students and students from all fields whose work concerns this region to participate in the conference.

The event will be held in a hybrid format – stationary at the University of Wrocław and online via the MS Teams platform. The conference will be divided into thematic panels juxtaposing presentations by researchers from related fields.

We invite academics, doctoral students and students to submit speeches in the form of:

• communication (10 minutes),
• speech (20 minutes).

If you are interested in participating, please fill in the application form available on our website and send an abstract of your talk (bibliography is welcome) to the following email address: kbi@uwr.edu.pl. The deadline for submissions is 14 March 2025. A decision on the eligibility of speeches will be communicated by 21 March 2025.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to record podcasts in collaboration with Academic Radio Luz. The podcasts will constitute a form of post-conference publication.
