New Year’s Concert in the Aula Leopoldina! See you again next year!
On the last day of January, the university community had the opportunity to attend the traditional New Year’s Concert in the Aula Leopoldina.
A moving and musically beautiful performance was delivered by the Symphony Orchestra of the University Philharmonic, founded by Wiktor Kuznetsov and conducted by Maestro Bartosz Żurakowski, alongside soloists Elżbieta Cabała (soprano, doctoral student at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Wrocław) and Tomasz Dziwisz (tenor). The audience also had the pleasure of hearing Wiktor Kuznetsov perform as a violin soloist.
After a break of several years, the concert was hosted by Professor Jan Miodek, to whom we extend our sincere thanks. At the invitation of the Rector of the University of Wrocław, prof. Robert Olkiewicz, the hall was filled with admirers of the works of composers such as Strauss, Verdi and Brahms.
