Next edition of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic

Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Warsaw announces a new call for applications for fellowships for study stays, research, artist residencies, and guest lectures in the 2024/2025 academic year within the framework of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic for the promotion of mobility. The deadline for submitting applications is 30 April 2024 at 4 pm. Scholarship applications can be submitted online through the website www.stipendia.sk or www.scholarships.sk.

The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic aims to support the mobility of foreign students, doctoral students professors, scientists, and artists by encouraging them to stay at universities and research units in Slovakia. Background information about the program is included in the attached leaflet. Detailed information about the program is available on the official program’s website www.stipendia.sk or www.scholarships.sk.

The scholarships are also intended for permanently resident Slovak students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows of Slovak universities and research units. Scholarships are granted to cover living expenses for the duration of a study and/or research stay during second-cycle studies, a study and/or research stay/artistic residency during a doctoral program, or a postdoctoral research stay at a foreign university or research unit of choice.

Possible questions about the National Scholarship Programme can be sent directly to the program administrators designated as the contact for foreign scholarship applicants: Silvia Lipovská (nsp-foreign2@saia.sk – in the case of students and doctoral students and Ondrej Aradský (nsp-foreign@saia.sk) in the case of professors and research professors and/or artists.

National Scholarship Programme is a program adopted by the Government of the Slovak Republic. It is financed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport. Administrative support of the National Scholarship Programme is provided by – on the basis of an agreement concluded with the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport and SAIA, n.o., scholars of the National Scholarship Programme are scholars of The Government of the Slovak Republic.

The next application deadline will be 31 October 2024, and will apply to residencies carried out in the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
