NGOs and Wrocław – project
A team of researchers led by prof. Aldona Wiktorska-Święcka from the University of Wrocław is conducting research related to the development of a diagnosis of the model of cooperation between NGOs and the City of Wrocław as part of a project funded by the University of Wrocław’s Fund for Cooperation with the Social and Economic Environment.
In partnership with the Umbrella Foundation, a diagnosis is being made of Wrocław’s NGO environment with particular reference to the problems, needs and challenges of cooperation with the local government over the past 20 years, i.e. after Poland’s accession to the European Union. The aim is to determine to what extent the Wrocław model fits in with European standards of public co-management. The work will result in a research report with a key conclusion and recommendation section. The report will be presented to key stakeholders (including the Wrocław authorities and city councillors) as well as the general public with the intention of encouraging the practical application of key findings.
