Odolanów Lectures of the University of Wrocław

The Centre for Research on Local Intercultural Exchange in Odolanów, still established by Rector Adam Jezierski, hosted a lecture by prof. Zdzisław Latajka on 29 June 2022 entitled “Wrocław Academic Centre – past and present.” This was another lecture given as part of the “Odolanów Lectures of the University of Wrocław” series. The meeting was moderated, as always, by Vice-Mayor Jan Prokop and dr Krzysztof Morta from the Institute of Classical, Mediterranean and Oriental Studies. Prof. Zdzisław Latajka introduced the Odolanów community to the ideas of Wrocław academicism. This was another scientific event prepared by scholars from our university in this city of southern Wielkopolska which has been cooperating with UWr for many years.

After the lecture, which provoked a lively discussion and great interest, especially among those who had not yet known the potential of the University of Wrocław, the authorities of Odolanów, headed by the Mayor, Marian Janicki, confirmed their desire for further cooperation with the Wrocław university and their openness to university initiatives in the Commune and City of Odolanów.
