On 13 January 2026, a new chapter in cooperation within Wrocław’s academic community begins
WrocDocSoc is a new initiative bringing together the Doctoral Schools of nine public universities in our city. We are creating a shared space for cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the promotion of early-career researchers.
Our goal is to build a strong academic community, open to dialogue with its wider environment. WrocDocSoc supports doctoral candidates in presenting their research and establishing cross-sector connections. We work with municipal authorities and representatives of regional business, aiming for science to have a tangible impact on the development of Wrocław and Lower Silesia.
WrocDocSoc events offer an opportunity to learn about innovative research projects and the people behind them. Interdisciplinarity, engagement and openness are our foundations. WrocDocSoc is a partnership that brings science and practice together.
The University of Wrocław will be represented by: Katarzyna Górecka from the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Mikołaj Domagalski from the Faculty of Biotechnology, and Tetiana Vovk from the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Environmental Management.
