
Open Days 2023 (updated)
Recruitment for studies at the University of Wroclaw will start on 1 June. As every year, the various units of our university organise Open Days, during which candidates can get acquainted with the fields of study, student scientific associations, see the buildings of the faculty or institute, listen to interesting popular science lectures, meet their future lecturers, talk to students of specific fields of study and, of course, learn everything about the university recruitment procedure. Below is information about the Open Days – the list will be updated on an ongoing basis as information flows to us from each unit.

Lecture: What can you learn by studying archeology? We will tell you about studying in the Institute, ongoing excavation work and specialized analyses, activities, which can be implemented under the Scientific Association. There will be a possibility to watch in person and closely the original archeological monuments from the collections of the Institute. The open day will begin on 11:00 am (together with mathematicians) with a lecture by Jan Marcinkowski about how Marian Rejewski broke the Enigma. There will be historical context, there will also be permutations, which are present in the Enigma and how Rejewski dealt with them. And a bit about military mathematics is slightly different than the one taught in schools.
We invite all students, which consider recruitment for Computer Science Studies or Indywidualne Studia Informatyczno-Matematyczne (ISIM) (Individual Computer Science and Mathematical Studies).
The plan includes more lectures, a bit of promotion, but it is mostly a good opportunity to talk casually with employees and students.

“Kulturnatywa” is an annual holiday of cultural studies. On that day rooms of the Institute change into art galeries, in which students, which are studying there, can present their final projects. It is also an opportunity to meet well-known graduates.
