Open lectures at the Plant Ecophysiology Laboratory with Professor Milos Bartak!

We warmly invite you to attend two open lectures delivered by Professor Milos Bartak from Masaryk University in Brno – a renowned expert in the field of plant ecophysiology.

Professor Milos Bartak specialises in research on photosynthetic processes, particularly using chlorophyll fluorescence. His work focuses on plant responses to stress factors (such as drought, heavy metals, and extreme temperatures) and the functioning of autotrophic organisms in harsh environmental conditions, including Arctic ecosystems.

His visit offers an excellent opportunity to meet an experienced scientist with an impressive research and teaching background, and to take part in a discussion on modern methods of studying photosynthesis and plant adaptation to environmental changes.

Lecture 1

Title: Non-photochemical quenching as an indicator of early stress induced events in PSII in plants exposed to drought stress

Date: 21 May 2025 (Wednesday)
Time: 14:30
Place: Building at Kanonia 6/8, Large Lecture Hall (DSW)

Lecture 2

Title: May heavy metal induced limitations be alleviated by GPBs?
Date: 22 May 2025 (Thursday)
Time: 11:30
Place: The building at ul. Przybyszewskiego 63, room 25 (lecture hall)

The lectures will be held in person and will be conducted in English.
