Our lawyers in Madrid

From 17-21 June 2024, students from the UWr Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics participated in a summer school on constitutional law in Madrid co-organised by FLAE UWr and the Open Universiteit in the Netherlands, the UK’s The Open University, Germany’s FernUniversität in Hagen and Spain’s Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia Facultad De Derecho.

The UWr Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics recruited, as it does every year, for the free LLB programme, a summer school in constitutional law, falling in the summer semester of our academic year. During the summer school, students prepare online in international teams tasked with drafting a constitution for a fictional state at a critical point in its history.

The finale of this year’s school took place in Madrid, where lectures and legal workshops with international experts were interspersed with a trip to the Congress of Deputies, rich cultural and culinary offerings and the European football championships. The coordinator of the Polish group of constitutionalists and constitutionalists was dr hab. Michał Bernaczyk, prof. UWr; while dr Michał Stępień was responsible for the international law enthusiasts.

Those interested in going to a constitutional or international law school in 2025 are encouraged to follow the announcements of WPAE UWr and to contact dr Michał Stępień, prof. Michał Bernaczyk or the Erasmus coordinator at FLAE prof. Bartłomiej Krzan.

The project “Integrated Program for the Development of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund
