„Our Masters. 80 years of Wrocław Alma Mater”
We invite the members of the academic community for a curator-guided tour of the jubilee exhibition titled „Our Masters. 80 years of Wrocław Alma Mater.” The meetings will be held by prof. dr hab. Jan Harasimowicz.
Two tours of the temporary exhibition „Our Masters. 80 years of Wrocław Alma Mater” will take place. They will be held by prof. dr hab. Jan Harasimowicz, the author of the introduction for the exhibition and its curator.
The first meeting will take place on 12 April 2026 at 12.00 am, the next is planned for 10 May 2026 at 12.00 am.
The exhibition is dedicated to outstanding people connected to the University of Wrocław over 80 years of its post-war history. As prof. Jan Harasimowicz emphasises, from the pioneers who shaped the university right after 1945, through the thaw generation of 1956, up until the professors active in the next decades, the University of Wrocław was a workplace of scientists who not only built a scientific legacy, but also shaped the next generation of Polish intelligence.
In the exhibition 16 prominent figures of the University of Wrocław professorship in years 1945-2025 will be presented. Every one of them has contributed significantly to the development of science and academic life, representing the highest humanistic values, which remain an important foundation of the university community.
