Our scientists will offer advice to the climate minister
Dr hab. Antoni Muszer from the Institute of Geological Sciences at the University of Wrocław and dr Piotr Wojtulek, a geologist and lawyer dealing with petrology, economic geology and geological and mining law – have become members of the Earth Resources Management Council of the Minister of Climate and Environment.
Dr hab. Muszer is an expert on the state’s raw materials policy and the economic use of the rock mass. Dr Wojtulek also works in the Department of Mineral Resources Management, which specialises in the study of useful properties of rocks and minerals. The Department teaches prospecting and exploration geology, economic geology, deposit geology and ore petrography to students of geology, geological engineering, environmental protection and spatial management. Scientists in the department focus on research and didactic work and on the practical application of geological knowledge in economy and business.
– I would like to thank the Minister, Chief Geologist of the Country, prof. Krzysztof Galos for the nomination. – emphasises dr Wojtulek. – As a member of the Council, I will deal with proposals for changes in the state’s raw materials policy, geological and mining law and in improving the functioning of broadly defined geological education in Poland.
Both scientists received their appointments on Wednesday 10 April 2024 from Deputy Minister and Chief Geologist of Poland prof. Krzysztof Galos (pictured with dr Piotr Wojtulek). During the meeting at the Ministry, they also extended an invitation to the Minister to teach an MBA course in geology and environmental protection to students next semester.
Congratulations on your nominations!
