Our student won the Student Nobel
On 25th of May 2024, the Student Nobels were awarded at the final gala in Warsaw. One of the awarded is Kacper Rosner-Leszczyński, a History student of our UWr.
The Student Nobel contest has been organised since 2009 by Independent Students’ Association. Its aim is to honour students with remarkable achievements in academic, artistic or social areas. Each of the nine awardees representing different areas of science and art received the PLN 5000 prize.
Awardees have been chosen based on criteria, among others: academic grades, academic, social or artistic activities, cooperation with scientific journals, and participation in student council and student associations. Both public and non-public university students of a bachelor’s, master’s, engineering, supplementary masters or a long-cycle master’s degree are eligible to enter the contest.
Two of our students entered the finale: Bartosz Rusin, a Physics student, and Kacper Rosner-Leszczyński, a History student.
A statuette in Social Science category received Kacper Rosner-Leszczyński, a History student at the Historical Institute, University of Wrocław, previously studied at Università di Catania in Italy, recipient of scholarsips of the Minister of Education and Science (2023) and the Minister of Science (2024) for remarkable academic achievements. He is a two-time laureate of UWr „Young Researcher” grant. He participated in several dozens of national and international scientific conferences, among others, in the USA (Central Connecticut State University). He was a visiting researcher in Centre for Historical Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Berlin. His interests include the history of medicine, the history of Lower Silesia in 20th century and social history. He is a member of Polish Society for the History of Medical Sciences.
