Paul Catanese mural at the Digital Justice Center

We are delighted to announce that on June 13, 2024, at the Digital Justice Center, the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics of the University of Wrocław, the unveiling of our latest (surprising!) project – a mural – took place. This work of art was crafted by the renowned artist, Professor Paul Catanese from Columbia College Chicago.

The ceremony was opened by a speech from dr hab. Tomasz Kalisz, prof. UWr who was representing the Dean’s Assembly of the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics at the University of Wrocław. His remarks underscored the vital importance of international collaboration and the profound impact of art on all of the humanities, including law and jurisprudence.

Paul Catanese, celebrated for transcending the traditional boundaries of visual, performance, and media art, has showcased his work at distinguished institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, Chicago Cultural Center, New Museum of Contemporary Art, and SFMOMA Artist’s Gallery. His stay in Poland was made possible by the prestigious Fulbright Foundation’s exchange program.

This project had an opportunity to come to fruition through the generous financial support of Mr. Andrzej Bryl and the project Inicjatywa Doskonałości – Uczelnia Badawcza. We would like to extend words of gratitude and appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the creation of this exceptional piece.

The process of printing this mural was expertly handled by A.R. Prestige. We also would like to extend words of gratitude to Mr. Remigiusz Wodnik for support of the whole process of creation of this work of art.

We express our heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed to the success of this event and who continually support the advancement of the Digital Justice Center. It was a pleasure to celebrate this significant moment together!

The project “Integrated Program for the Development of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund
